ITALY. Sicilia (Regno). Guglielmo II il Buono (the Good), 1166-1189. Follaro (Bronze, 13 mm, 2.18 g, 12 h), Messina. Head of a lion facing slightly to left. Rev. 'al-Malik/ Ghulyalim/ al-Thani' ('King William the second' in Kufic) in three lines. MEC 14, 432. Sharply struck and exceptionally well preserved, with a delightful glossy green patina. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
